Shopping for Scholars Benefits Students

The CSU Women’s Council held their annual Shopping for Scholars auction in November. More than $44,000 was raised.

“The auction has become the largest fundraiser we have on our Women’s Council,” said Susan Johnson, chair of the council. All money raised funds student scholarships.

Kaye Wren and Janice Messex were co-chairs of the event this year. “We just really rely on the generosity of so many supportive people in the community and even the council,” said Wren.

Members of the Women’s Council solicit donations of items throughout the year. This year 200 items were offered in the silent auction, and 100 were offered in the live auction.
